How to Use Your Eyemart Color Contact Lenses

Wearing color contact lenses is easy once you know the basics. Follow these steps every time to keep your eyes safe and your lenses looking their best.

Before You Start

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then dry them with a lint-free towel.
• Check the lens for any tears, debris, or damage before inserting it.
• Always insert and remove the same lens first (e.g. right eye) to avoid mixing up your pairs.

Inserting Your Lenses

1. Place the lens on the tip of your index finger, making sure it isn't inside out (the edges should curve upward like a bowl, not flare outward).
2. Using your other hand, hold your upper and lower eyelids open.
3. Look straight ahead and gently place the lens onto your eye.
4. Slowly close your eye and blink a few times to let the lens settle into place.

Removing Your Lenses

1. Wash your hands before touching your eyes.
2. Look upward and gently pull down your lower eyelid.
3. Using your index finger and thumb, gently pinch the lens and lift it away from your eye.

Caring for Your Lenses

• If you're wearing reusable lenses, clean and store them in fresh solution every night — never reuse old solution.
• Replace your lenses on schedule (daily, monthly, etc.) as specified on the pack — never wear them longer than recommended.
• Never sleep, shower, or swim while wearing your lenses.
• Stop wearing a lens immediately and consult a doctor if you experience redness, pain, or blurred vision.
